Hi everyone, This week’s post is going to be a bit unsubstantial but because I had a lot of assignments going on in school. Still, the assignments are different at this university because you can earn more points for less work. If I can count, I altogether completed 70% worth of assignments. I’ll give you a rundown of a few things I did and that will be it for this week :)

On Wednesday, I woke up around 7 am to take the bus to the beach to watch sunrise and it was stunning. Then I ran home – what a great way to discover the city and to appreciate my health.

Later that evening, I went outdoor climbing once again, but I unfortunately have no photos to show for that. Still after that, the flat went to pint night (no we didn't mom) and I want to include a picture so you can see who some of the characters in my life are (if they're reading this and don't want to be posted just let me know). I am undoubtedly in an exchange bubble so no matter where we go, there are exchange students, so it could be helpful for me to talk to a few more kiwis here and there.

On Friday morning, I had a geography field trip to the Otago Peninsula where I made a brief kiwi friend and that gave me some satisfaction. That evening, I went to signal hill (which is one of the hikes I did in the first week, but this time we drove to the top) with Lizzy to watch the `sunset'.

On Saturday, the student association ran a trip to the Orokonui Ecosanctuary, which is a mainland sanctuary that houses some rare New Zealand birds and reptiles a.k.a things that look like DINOSAURS. There were insane bird songs all around. I went with Aidan and Emily and we met someone who also goes to McGill there and I think we're going to have dinner with her next week! We have also found 2 other McGill students while here teehee.
There are only 500-600 Takahe remaining
