If NZ is my happiness, the mountain summits are my sadness
This week I don’t feel like writing because things aren’t all happy, but that means I need to. With no more tramping trips, exams, and social vibes being off, things are a little sad. But such sadness can only arise out of immense joy, like the Southern Alps rising up above the South Island. It is so stupid that we (me & exchange people) can’t help ourselves from bonding with one another (esp. flatmates; we spend every day together), knowing all along that there is a very real goodbye at the end. We’ve done this to ourselves, consciously.
Anyway, lectures ended last week, and my first final is in a few days. I’m not expecting my exams to be too bad but I’m going to study for them a bit (mainly so I have something to do).
What have I been up to recently?
Played Dunedin-themed monopoly with the flatmates last weekend.
Went on a solo train journey and wrote post cards! And went to the beach after.
It was Savage’s birthday on Monday and we watched the David Attenborough Ocean film together! Epic.
Me, Emily and Veronica went to the Rugby game & that was really fun!

Have been having some anxious moments this past week so I walked around the greenhouses in the Botans.
Made pavlova!

Fed the ducks at the Botans with Emily!

The Aurora Australis were out last night!

These are my lovely friends going on a trip together to Mount Cook :)
